Nina Asusa, Broker

Nina's journey in real estate began in the early 1990's where her passion for real-estate quickly grew from an investor and home renovator, to where she is today. In 2006*, Nina launched her full-time real estate career and quickly found herself helping her clients, who many became friends, achieve not just any lifestyle, but the lifestyle they wanted for themselves. Her model was and always will be ''Don't follow someone else's story; create your own story, create your own lifestyle, because 'home is where your story begins.'''  From a single realtor, to developing a strong team of realtors she personally mentored and later owning a real estate brokerage firm, Nina's focus remained the same. She continues to channel her high energy and extensive experience into understanding her client's needs and wants, and in helping them in their real estate journey. Nina's greatest honour is the trust others grant her when welcoming her in their life's journey.

When you feel the urge to get away, sometimes a day trip is all you need. Luckily, there are beautiful gems just a short drive away from Toronto. You don’t need to go far to get away - the less travel time, the more time you have to experience these magical places. Here are the top 5 memorable day trips in Southern Ontario.
1. Paris
Did you know we have a Paris right here in Ontario? It may not have the Eiffel Tower, but it’s one of the prettiest towns in our province. Named the “Cobblestone Capital of Canada” it feels like you’re stepping into an old European city just a short drive away from home. If you’re up for a European-like adventure, Downtown Paris has quaint, small town vibes filled with cafes, bakeries and cheese shops. And its host to award winning family and fine dining restaurants. You can also walk the city trails along its outer core to enjoy the natural scenery.
2. Elora
A breathtaking hidden gem just outside of Toronto, Elora allows you to escape from the city without being too far away. The Elora quarry is a favourite for visitors with its beautifully coloured water (which you can swim in!) and 12-meter cliffs. You can also hike the park’s one-kilometer loop trail, and set up a picnic enjoying the scenery. Head to the Elora Gorge Conservation area for canoeing and water tubing, and check out the Tooth of Time waterfall, which flows into the Grand River.
3. Prince Edward County
Prince Edward County is a must-visit for a day trip. Known as one of Ontario’s wine destinations, you can spend the day vineyard-hopping and stopping by artisan shops and local farmers markets along the way. It’s also home to the popular Sandbanks beach if you’re up for a day of swimming, canoeing, sailing, and laying out on the sand. Head to the Little Bluff Conservation Area for panoramic views of the city, or take a walking trail to experience PEC on foot. Whether you choose to do one or all of these activities, you’re sure to have a memorable day.
4. Collingwood
There’s so much to do on a Collingwood day trip! Check out the scenic caves and walk on the 128-meter suspension bridge looking over Georgian Bay. Canoe or kayak along the Bear River. Take a short drive west to Blue Mountain to explore the charming village, and if you’re in need of some relaxation, head to the Scandinave Spa with renowned cleansing baths, saunas, and waterfalls. You can also book a massage treatment. Take a mountaintop trek, exploring Blue Mountain’s vast terrain, and when you’re done, head to Georgian Hills Vineyard for some delicious vino.
5. Grand Bend
Located on the shores of Lake Huron, Grand Bend is home to one of the most gorgeous beaches in Ontario where you can relax, play beach sports or head to the water for parasailing, wake boarding and sea-dooing. Once you’re finished your day on the beach, head to one of their waterfront restaurants to fill up and enjoy the view. Grand Bend also has a number of markets you can visit, and we can’t forget Pinery Provincial Park where you can walk trails, canoe and enjoy some ice cream.
If you’re looking to escape from the city for a day, these 5 day trips are just what you need!
